Weekly Work Wardrobe - Tips!

I like to plan my wardrobe in advance. It helps keep me on task each morning – as well as saves time.  I have a very easy “system” for planning my wardrobe, which is sensible and easy to remember.

Since Monday is the beginning of the week – and typically the most serious of days in the office (meetings, visitors, fresh start to a new week) – I like to dress a little more “serious”.  Usually, I wear a dress or skirt on Mondays.

Then, the week tapers off from there.  Tuesday is usually for slacks and a nice top or blazer.  Wednesday could be the same as Tuesday, but maybe with a cardigan (instead of a blazer).  And I treat Thursday as a pre-casual day and may even dress-up a pair of jeans.

By the time “Casual Friday” rolls around, it's not only easy to plan what to wear, but it's also the least “serious” day of the week.  Thus, there is no fuss and I tend to wear dark denim with a casual top.

The key thing to remember is: if you want to dress an outfit up or down, you can do that by switching out your shoes!  Heels are a little more serious than flats – and a structured pair of pumps are a lot more serious than loafers.

Play with your outfits – swap separates to try different looks – and create a signature style that is uniquely yours!
